Political Revolutions
By Robby Knox
2 Realistic Revolutions and 1 based on a movie.
American Civil War
The American Civil War was a war that was based on the rights of the south. The south wanted the rights to break free from the USA and turn into the CSA. The north didn't want that. The South created a capital in Montgomery, Alabama (Until May 29th, 1861) then it moved to Richmond, Virginia (Until April 3rd, 1865) led by Jefferson Davis.
American Revolution
The American Revolution was a political revolution between the 13 colonies and Great Britain. The colonists didn't like all the taxing that was happening, they didn't like British soldiers coming into their houses and saying they needed their bed and food. They dumped tea into the Boston Harbor and the king shut off all access to the Harbor. That was one of the leading factors to the Revolutionary war. The signing of the declaration of independence was another big factor. I think that John Hancock made it worse by signing his name real big, basically challenging the king.
Remember The Titans. Civil Rights
Remember the Titans is a sports drama movie, based back when Whites and Blacks were forced to combine schools. The Titans' head coach got his job taken by a black coach, and many black players are moved onto the team. Black and White football players and families were frequently breaking out into racial conflicts throughout the football season. Later on when they finally make peace, one of the players got in a car wreck and one of his black friends came to visit him. The white nurse told him he had to leave, only family members are allowed in the room. The injured player shot back with, "Are you blind? Don't you see the family resemblance? That's my brother."
