Mission Statement
In the Classroom This Week:
Religion
- to identify that on Easter Sunday we celebrate the Resurrection.
- to state that Easter Sunday begins the Easter season, which lasts until Pentecost Sunday.
- to recall that the Easter season is a season of rejoicing.
We are also reflecting daily on our Lenten Promises.
Language Arts
We are finishing Chapter 7 with the focus on sentences and sentence structure. Students will be doing review pages in their textbook to prepare for the test Thursday.
Students will take the Chapter 7 test Thursday, March 16th.
Students will take the Unit 14 Vocabulary Test Friday.
Unit 14 definitions are due Friday.
Math
In Math, students are beginning Chapter 11: Multiplying and Dividing Fractions. There will be a 11.1-11.4 Friday Quiz this week.
Students are encouraged to review nightly their class notes.
Science
Social Studies
Students will pick their state next week and start project on Monday, March 27th. I will give the the details they need next week.
Reminders:
Schedule Reminders
Friday, March 17th- St. Patrick's Day. Students are allowed to wear green tops with Mass uniform. We will have a special treat to enjoy in the afternoon.
Friday, March 17th- 5A Class Mass (note the change)
Monday, March 20th- regular school day
Tuesday and Wednesday, March 21st & 22nd- Minimum Days, Parent Teacher Conferences will be in the afternoon. Wednesday will not be a late school start.
Friday, March 24th- 5B Class Mass.
Thursday, March 30th- AR Test is due (5.3)
Friday, March 31st- San Jose Tech Museum field trip. More details to come.
Snacks, Water, Wipes, and Tissues Needed
Individual Classroom Supplies
Please make sure that your child has all the necessary supplies every day in class. These include: colored pencils/crayons, lined paper, a red pen, and scissors.
