Class of 2022: Graduation rehearsal, yard sign and decision day photos and more
Between the warm weather (finally!), end of year events and senior celebrations, we can feel the excitement from the Class of 2022 as they approach the end of the school year and graduation.
This week, we have a few updates for our seniors and families. Find these updates and information on end of year senior activities and events at SpringLakeParkSchools.org/Graduation.
- Last Day of School – Thursday, June 9, 2022 – Plan for a senior meeting, graduation rehearsal and iPad turn-in event: On the last day of school, Thursday, June 9, seniors will participate in a graduation rehearsal in the high school gym. Additionally, they will turn in their iPad, case, and official Apple charger. If you don’t know where all of those items currently are, we encourage you to start looking to avoid any fees and ensure a smooth turn-in process.
- Final senior meeting – 8:15 a.m., Fine Arts Center
- iPad turn in and school curriculum – 8:45 a.m., Auxiliary Gym
- Rehearsal – 9:15 a.m., Panther Gym
- Cap and gowns distribution is Friday, May 20, 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.: As a reminder, we will distribute graduation caps and gowns during the school day next Friday, May 20. Seniors will be able to pick up and/or purchase their cap and gown and any additional honor cords or tassels they may be eligible for.
- Outstanding School Fees: How to pay through Campus Parent Portal: Seniors are asked to pay any outstanding fees they may have acquired throughout the school year. Fees could range from technology to library books and music fees. To check and pay for any outstanding fees, log in to Campus Parent Portal and click on “Fees” located in the left-hand black column.
- Senior survey – now open: All seniors are asked to complete the senior survey in Naviance as this is how they request their final transcript to be sent to their attending college. Please encourage your student to complete the survey.
- Yard signs: After the senior meeting last week, students gathered on the stadium field to pick up their yard/window signs provided by the Panther Foundation. Check out the Yard Sign Flickr album. Seniors who were unable to attend that event may pick up their sign from the main office. If a family would like an additional yard sign, they are available for purchase at the high school Panther Store.
- Decision Day photos: Seniors gathered for Decision Day to celebrate their post-secondary plans. They wore gear representing their plans for next year and had fun celebrating these important decisions with photos and cupcakes. Check out the Decision Day Flickr album.
Stay tuned for more important information in our next update and be sure to check out the photos from the yard sign pick up and decision day event!
