CHS: Under the Sea!
CHS went under the sea last week with multiple performances of The Little Mermaid. Performances were given especially for CCS students during the school day. They also performed Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for the general public. The performances were given to packed houses who enjoyed the tremendous talent of everyone involved.
4H Tournament Champions
Three members of the CHS Sport Shooting Club (Griffin Barksdale, Ezra Burks and Cole Herfurth) combined their skill with that of Blake Arrington of Cullman County to participate as the Cullman County 4H Shooting Team and won the State 4H Shooting Competition. They received $500 to help with their trip to the National Shooting Competition.
World Language Honor Societies
Congratulations to those students inducted into their World Language Honor Societies last week.
CHS at AHSAA PAD Conference
Mr. John Drake and the CHS Broadcast Network represented CHS and our community at the Principals & Athletic Directors (PAD) State Conference last week. PAD is a part of the AHSAA. The CHS Broadcast Network produces more live stream events of school and community activities than any other school in our state across all classifications.

State Testing Continues
CMS students will continue their state testing this week. Students will be completing the Scantron testing over the coming days. Instead of the paper and pencil tests of the past, this year's tests have been given electronically. The students are using our school system's Chromebooks. We are excited to see how our students have grown in their academic performance this year!

We Are Artists!
EES students and WES students presented their art at a joint show last week. Many beautiful works of art were featured. Thank you, Mrs. McBrayer, for giving our students an avenue for sharing their wonderful works!

85 Students Inducted into Beta
We had an amazing induction of 85 students into the EES National Junior Beta Club last week. Congratulations students!
Our Artists Shine
Pablo Picasso once said, "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up."
Mrs. McBrayer works tirelessly to ensure our students have every opportunity and desire to remain an artist when they grow up! Thank you, Mrs. McBrayer!
Sometimes You've Just Got to Get Outside
Learning is hard work, so sometimes you need a little break. When the weather finally cooperates, you get outside and enjoy the sunshine!

The Power of Persuasion
Knowing how to persuade someone is a critical skill. Being able to write persuasively is a skill that is introduced at CCPS. These first graders persuaded Mrs. Culpepper to get an LK water dispenser for the 1st grade hall. Good job!
CCPS In-District Registration Begins
CCPS in-district registration was held last week. We are excited to begin welcoming our new Cats to the family. Out-of-district registration will begin May 7th. Information about out-of-district registration can be found on the system website.
