A Message From The Board of Directors
If you are wondering what to do this summer, visit the City of Lindstrom’s events. Harmony in the Park at Lions Park kicked off June 5. The Lindstrom Park Commission and Chair Rusty Johnson have worked diligently to make this event possible every Wednesday night from the beginning of June through the middle of August. Rusty announces each of the sponsors weekly during the event. So far this summer’s Harmony in the Park music series stats are as follows: White Sidewalls on June 5 had 1,104 attendees which is an increase from last year’s 911 attendees and World According to Garth had 970 attendees on June 12. Attendance usually fluctuates from 700 to 1,100 each Wednesday evening. This year’s list of performers is similar to previous years including Monroe Crossing, Rockin’ Hollywoods, Hard Day’s Night, etc. There are also other attractions going on in conjunction with Harmony in the Park such as blood drives, health fairs, a zoo, a car show, vendors and crafters depending on the specific Wednesday evening.
Lindstrom Farmers’ Market has locally raised produce and begins July 10th through October 26th on Wednesdays from 3:00-6:00pm and Saturdays from 8:00am-12:00pm at the St. Bridget Catholic Church parking lot on Highway 8.
Karl Oskar Days begins Wednesday, July 10, 2019, and goes through Sunday, July 14, 2019. Starting out the festival, the Karl Oskar Days Ambassador Candidates will be at Harmony in the Park on Wednesday night at 6:30pm and “The Dweebs” will start playing at 7pm. Afterwards, the movie “Sing” will start at 8:30pm. There are so many activities to enjoy over the five days including the Arts and Craft Fair at Memorial Park and the Food and Vendor Fair at Beach Park. On Saturday, the Lindstrom Loppet/5K starts at 8am. The Classic Car Show, which averages 150 car entrants, is Saturday, July 13 from 9am-12pm at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church parking lot. The Grand Day Parade is Saturday, July 13, at 6pm and the Street Dance starts at 8pm at the Lindstrom Municipal Parking lot featuring Ben Johnson. To learn more, check out our website at cityoflindstrom.us and our City of Lindstrom and Karl Oskar Days Facebook pages. You can also contact Pauline Hinsch, Karl Oskar Days Coordinator, at 651-257-7648 or phinsch@cityoflindstrom.us for any questions regarding Karl Oskar Days. See you in Lindstrom!

Chisago Lakes Welcomes You!
As we grow and expand our community, the chamber has been working on a couple of initiatives to welcome new-comers to our area. With the collaboration from some of our members, we decided that it’s time to roll out the welcome wagon for the following people in our community:
- New Businesses
- New Chamber Members
- New Residents
What’s the plan? Every month we will hand deliver a welcome package to each of these groups of people. We already know that we live and work in an amazing community, but we don’t want the new-comers to waste any time in feeling a part of it too.
How can you help? Add to the package! If you’d like to include anything from your business, we would happily present it on your behalf. If you’d prefer to contribute a coupon in an effort to welcome them yourselves, please send that our way. Additionally, if you have a preference in which welcome package your stuff is in, let us know. All items can be delivered to the chamber. We plan to deliver our first batch of gifts in mid-July!
Thank you for your participation. We are excited to meet these new-comers and hope to make them feel welcome on behalf of all of the Chisago Lakes Area businesses!
