West Point El. Parent Update
Week of March 6, 2023
Dear West Point Families,
We would like to congratulate our school Spelling Bee winners from last Wednesday's schoolwide bee. Congratulations to Dexter Hansen - first place, Brody Secrist - second place, and Jonah Green - third place. Good luck at the District Regional Spelling Bee! Thank you to Mrs. Elcock for organizing the bee and providing this opportunity for our students.
We would also like to thank our PTA for organizing the activities for last week's National Read Across America Week. Our students have had so much fun filling out the bingo board. Students can still return their blackout bingo cards to the library through this Tuesday, March 7.
Here are three important things to know for the coming week. We hope you have a great week!
- Class Picture Day and Spring Pictures are this Wednesday, March 8.
- This Wednesday evening is DSD's monthly mental health parenting series. This month's topic is "De-escalating Cycles of Conflict." More information is below. We hope you can take advantage of this wonderful opportunity that our school district has provided for parents.
- Decathlon tryouts for 4th-6th grade students will be held this Friday after school.
Every day is a great day to be a Wildcat!
Sincerely,
Marjorie Conrad and Michelle Yoho
Principal and Assistant Principal, West Point Elementary

Mary Poppins, Jr. Tickets
Tickets will go on sale on Monday, March 13 at 8:00 a.m. in the office. They will be $4 each. Reserved seating. Cash, credit card, or check. Ticket sales will be ongoing until the day of the performances.
After receiving feedback from last year's show about visibility and seating, we are trying to make stage visibility a little better from the back rows. In order to do this we are going to have a slightly different seating plan. To accommodate this plan we are not going to be selling as many tickets. Please be considerate with quantity and seat location when purchasing multiple night tickets. If it is your second or third night viewing the show, please think about purchasing tickets a little farther back. All friends and family members would love to cheer for their performers!
