IMPORTANT OLD BUSINESS
Fourth Nine Weeks Grading Expectations of Students for Home Learning Experience:
All students (K-5) are still expected to complete all of their assignments during this home learning experience, as they would during a normal school day. While we understand this time period and learning environment is a different experience, we are calculating your child's grades in this tiered system:
If the student displays :
a) Full effort-the student's three previous nine weeks average can stay the same or go up.
b)Moderate effort-the student's three previous nine weeks average will stay the same
c)Low to No effort-the student's three previous nine weeks average will drop
*As a district, we will be utilizing a combination of ‘Effort’ and ‘Accuracy’ during the 4th nine weeks.
MVCSD Wellness:
The elementary counselors/social workers have created a website to provide resources to families. Please check out THIS WEBSITE and click on the different tabs to find out more. We'd love to hear feedback from you! Click on the survey located at the bottom of the "resources for parents" tab.
Quick Links on Our Website:
If your child uses, Google Classroom, i-Ready, Fast ForWord, Successmaker, or Prodigy, I want to make sure that you know that I have placed these quick links on the right handside of our website for their use. If you wanted your child to use any of these programs from home, they would be able to do so (as long as they normally use them at school). In several of my meetings with parents, this topic has come up and I want to make sure that this is a known fact. Please CLICK HERE to view these QUICK LINKS or go directly to our school website.
