Message from Geordie

Good afternoon everyone,

Just wanted to say a big thanks to all of our wonderful parents who completed our School Climate Survey over the past few weeks. This data is more valuable when we have more families complete it and so far we have had excellent engagement!

This week our Year 6 families participated in the Confirmation Workshop run by Mrs Bennett. Thanks to everyone for being involved and we look forward to celebrating the Sacrament on Saturday the 27th August over in the church. It will be the first time our Choir will lead the singing and I look forward to celebrating with our families.

In line with our discussions earlier in the year, next term we have organised for instrumental lessons to be available after school here at St Bernie’s. We are running the program through a company called Keyed Up Music and all the info is detailed below.

Finally, just a reminder that playgrounds are out-of-bounds before school as we do not have the staff available to take duty of care. Even if parents are with their children, we ask that you keep the children off the playground as it makes it easier to supervise all the students in the undercover area. Thanks for your understanding!

We hope you have a great weekend and look forwards to seeing you all next week!

Thank you for your feedback!

Only 2 Days remaining to complete the

School Climate Survey for 2022: Please use Code SBPACS

We have had an overwhelming response from our parents and carers who have shared their impressions with us, in order to build and maintain a positive school climate here at St Bernadette's Catholic Primary School. Thank you for taking the time to tell us how you think things are going, for you and your children.

If you have completed the survey, please submit your family name below, to enter the draw to win a Family Dinner Voucher at the Birdie Restaurant in Port Kennedy. Good luck!

Year 4 MTCC Wizard of Oz Performance

The Year Fours had a wonderful excursion to the Mandurah Performing Arts Theatre to see the Wizard of Oz. The students thoroughly enjoyed the show. The talent on stage was absolutely awe inspiring. We would like to congratulate the staff and students of Mother Teresa College for a brilliant performance.

Music Tuition is back at Bernie's!!

We will be offering instrumental tuition, after school in drums, guitar, keyboard and violin starting in Term 4. There is an enrolment link for parents to sign up in the letter below.

Bernie's Garden and Produce Stall

Just a reminder that our Garden Club meets every Friday afternoon, please pop into the office for a permission slip if you would like to join us!

Even Layla B’s bunny, Theo was loving bunny life to the max when he was given left over rocket from Bernie’s Garden as a treat!

Year 6 will have garden sales on Friday afternoons at 3pm.

On sale this week - lavender bags, worm wee, mint, cabbage leaves and home made library bags.

There's no doubt worm wee makes an excellent plant fertilizer. It is also a natural insect repellent and improves soil health. Worm wee is far superior to chemical fertilizers. Chemical fertilizers contain pesticides and herbicides, burn the soil and kill beneficial microbes.

Please support us, all proceeds go back into the school garden!

Running Club

Due to popular demand, the Monday Running Club will continue until the end of term!

Monday afternoon: 3.15 pm - 4.00pm. See you there!

School Photo's

The school photo's have gone to print so we are waiting on delivery from the photographers. These will be sent home with your child/ren when they are delivered.

Parent/Teacher Interviews: early close

Please find the booking details in the Parent Teacher Interview form below.

School will finish at 12:00 pm to allow for the interviews to begin at 12.30pm.
