Christianity
Christianity is a monotheistic religion. Christians believe in one god that created everything in existence. Their holy book is the bible. A major holiday is December 25, the day Jesus was born. It is called Christmas. Christians go to church every Sunday and pray. Christianity started in Jerusalem.
Hinduism
Hinduism is a polytheistic religion. Shaivism, vaishnavism, shaktism, and smartism are the main gods. The holy book is Gita. The festival of lights and the festival of colors are major Hindu holidays. The Sadhu, Namaste Greeting, and Puja are all Hindu rituals and practices. The place with the most amount of Hindus is India.
Buddhism
Buddhism is monotheistic. Their god is called Buddha. Their holy book is called the Tipitaka. Some Buddhist holidays are Vesak Puja, Pavarana, and Kathina Ceremony. A practiced ritual is meditation. The place where there are the most Buddhists is East Asia.
Islam
Islam is monotheistic. Their god (in Arabic) is called Allah. Their holy book is called Quran. Some Islamic holidays are Ramadan, Muharram, and Mawild al- Nabi. Some rituals are fasting, pilgrimage, and praying. The origin of Islam is Jerusalem.
Judaism
Judaism is monotheistic. Their god is called Yehova. Their holy book is called the Hebrew Bible. Some Judaism holidays are Shabbat, Rosh Hashanah, and Sukkot. A ritual is Passover. Judaism originated from Jerusalem.
