Principal’s Corner
I am pleased that all students are adjusting to the school routines and rituals. Thanks to our students, parents, and staff, we have had tremendous success. As your principal, I look forward to strengthening the relationships that I have begun building with all of our outstanding students, families, teachers, and staff.
Lastly, parents, please ensure your scholar has a clear water bottle to access the school water fountains and for health safety.
Warm Regards,
Mrs. Ayana Smith | Principal

Chapel Hill Middle School is a Title I school, and as the parent/guardian of a child attending a Title I school you are an important part of the Title I team. Your input is vital in the planning and implementation of the parental engagement program and activities in our school. The focus of all Title I programs is to help eligible students meet the same high academic achievement standards expected of all children. The following survey is confidential and will be used to assist us with future planning for parental involvement activities and events at our school.
All surveys may be completed online at FY23 DCSD Title I Parent Family Engagement Survey.

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Decatur-DeKalb Chapter, Inc
The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Decatur-DeKalb Chapter, Inc. is an advocacy organization founded in 1989. As a non-profit organization, they work together to master the causes of the issues that affect our families, communities, and personally. They are actively seeking young ladies in grades 6th -11th to join our esteemed Legacy Girls Program.
This program is designed to establish an enhanced sense of self-esteem and personal motivation among young African American women that will inspire them to develop the necessary skills needed to assume a wide range of leadership roles in areas such as politics, civic affairs, business, entrepreneurship, education, health and medicine, religion, and international affairs.
Participants must be committed to the goals of the program and willing to assume an active role in the program. We encourage our Legacy girls to remain in the program through high school. They are also invited to support Legacy after they graduate. This commitment also includes attending all Legacy program meetings and completing all assignments required for the program module.
All young ladies must reside in DeKalb County and attend the Open House on Sunday, August 28th, from 4-6 PM at their Trinity Office Park at 4153 Flat Shoals Pkwy Decatur, GA 30034.
