Know & Go in AIM
Last week and today in AIM
Today (as well as last week) we introduced and practiced the skill of brainstorming! We learned about two important rules of brainstorming; 1) come up with many ideas and 2) no negative comments during the brainstorming process! We practiced by brainstorming a list of new possible ice cream flavors. During our practice we talked about how once your idea gets on the list it becomes OUR idea, something that we can all improve upon and adapt. This is a big concept for little kids (and adults) but they did a great job of letting go of that concept of "mine" and voted for the idea they thought we could work with. Then we went back to our original challenge of creating a billboard that will attract rabbits to our new community. They made a list of ideas based on our rabbit research and then worked together to create a plan for building the billboards with a limited pile of supplies.
