KPMS Math Team

Do you like a challenge? Do you like to compete? Are you a strategic thinker? Are you a problem solver? Can you think of creative ways to approach math problems? Then the Math League is for you!

The Math League will meet every Tuesday after school until 3:00 pm. During Math League meetings, students will complete practice problems to prepare for upcoming math competitions. It is a great way to work with fellow students to explore new ways to solve math problems. No late buses are available so students will need to arrange a ride home or plan to walk home. Grab a friend and come to the next Math League meeting in Room 123 with Mrs. Kriegsman. Hope to see you there!

Special Classroom Visitor

From the Red Lions Team:

In Room 209, we have spent the last few weeks learning about Hinduism. This is a religion that has many nuances and vocabulary terms that are very unfamiliar to your typical 7th-grade student! The difference between Brahman, Brahma, Brahmin - phew, keeping track of all of this was no easy task! So, to help our students understand Hinduism, we brought in a guest speaker who practices Hinduism! She brought us a special treat - an Indian snack (banana/plantain chips) - which was a huge hit! She also brought stories, pictures(including her wedding photos), relics, and even her beautiful diya (candle holder) used for her celebration of Diwali. Our students asked and prepared so many questions for her! Feel free to check out those questions here. Also, check out some of the pictures of her presentation to the class or her Slides presentation here!

Healthy KP Information Request

The Healthy KP Substance Use Prevention Coalition is conducting an adult parent/guardian perception survey to learn more about how the Norfolk, Plainville, and Wrentham parent/guardian community views youth substance use. Your candid feedback will be anonymous and will enable the coalition to structure and implement targeted prevention initiatives to enhance the health and safety of youth in the tri-town.

The results will be used to guide the efforts of the Healthy KP coalition to provide data for the coalition to furnish resources, programs, as well as future funding opportunities for substance free youth and parent programs.
