BACK TO SCHOOL BLAST - FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 13TH
Students, plan to attend the Back-to-School BLAST next Friday, September 13th. This is the first and biggest party of the year to celebrate back to school at Chippewa. Back by popular demand Human Foosball as well as the rock-climbing wall and inflatables. There will be games and basketball in the gym and movie in the auditorium. Pizza and snacks will be in the cafeteria – all for $1 or less. Don’t forget your camera/phone for some fun pictures with friends at the 3 photo booths. The BLAST is after school with parent pick-up by 4:15pm. Reminder that there are no activity buses on Fridays
Back to School Blast wristbands will be for sale next Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday at all lunches for $5 and in the front office.
Parents you are also invited to join the fun! Parent volunteers can have some fun, connect with students in their 'school habitat' and help make the BLAST memorable. Teachers and Deans will be there, but we need parents to help with all of this fun too. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities and multiple volunteers are needed for each activity. Thank you for your support!
Activity Buses - Routes begin Monday!
Science Olympiad Student and Parent Meetings - Wednesday, September 25th
The initial information meeting for Chippewa students interested in Science Olympiad will be Wed., Sept. 25th after school in the school Auditorium.
A parent meeting will follow at 3:30 in the Auditorium. The parent meeting will include general information about the nature of Science Olympiad at the Middle School level, expectations for the Olympians, the need for parent involvement, limit on student participant numbers and selection process, and a preview of the multiple forms to fill out.
Because the number of students who can participate per coach is limited by MSO, it is important that interested students and at least 1 parent attend the meeting.

After School Academic Support - Starts next week!
Chippewa will offer after school support three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Selected teachers will run academic support from their own classrooms once a week for sixth or seventh and eighth grade students from 2:30 - 3:25 in the afternoon ending in time for students to catch the activity bus. Students might be asked to attend regularly by their dean or teacher or they may drop in on an as needed basis. The teachers and room numbers will be publicized and will be broadcast on the morning announcements so each grade level of students knows what room to go to for the hour. We do ask that students stay there the entire hour unless other specific arrangements have been made.
