Ms. Crisp's Weekly Newsletter
November 23rd & 24th, 2015
Happy Thanksgiving!
Also, don't forget about the Read-a-thon happening Tuesday morning at 9:15! A flyer went home with your student on Friday. Students have the opportunity to wear comfy clothes, bring in a small stuffed animal or pillow, get their favorite book from home or school, and invite a family member to come read with them! Parents may bring their own book and read side-by-side, or come ready to whisper-read with their student!
A Quick Aside...
What Are We Learning This Week?
- Daily 5: Fluency in reading, important details vs. non-important details, and as always, building up stamina to be better readers and writers.
- Reading Groups: Vocabulary and using context clues.
- Social Studies: Beginning local and national government.
- Math: Skip counting, number charts, and arrays to learn multiplication.
