BOOK HOGGERS DISCUSS THEIR 4TH BOOK SELECTION: THE SHACK

Right after the winter break, freshman student Andres Rendon led the discussion for the book entitled The Shack by William Young. Students shared their thoughts about the book and also talked about forgiveness and letting go of past mistakes and hurts and moving forward in life with a positive outlook. Also discussed were some quotes from the book.

PSJA COMMUNITY RECEIVES THOUSANDS OF FREE BOOKS!

A huge "Thank-you!" goes out to the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and FirstBook for providing over 50,000 free books to the students and employees of PSJA ISD. On Dec. 12, 2015, the old PSJA Middle School cafeteria served as the distribution center for a very successful book giveaway, in which over 3,000 students and employees stopped by to select their free books from a very impressive collection!
