This month students will begin state and district testing. These are high stake tests that we look forward to each year. This is an opportunity for Renaissance students to SHINE and show exactly what they know. As always, we encourage students to always do their best each and every time they sit for an exam. The juniors will be taking the SAT, ACT Workkeys, and the MStep this month. The freshmen and sophomores will sit for the PSAT.

Over the last few months, we have had some excellent Phoenix Focus sessions for students. They have been very informative, engaging, and relevant to our students. This month our sessions will focus on Coping Skills. We look forward to more learning growth!

As the weather gets warmer, students become fidgety and try to leave the building throughout the day, especially at lunch. Please remind your student that we have a CLOSED CAMPUS. This means that students are not allowed to leave the building without parent permission for early pick up. If students are leaving early, parents must come in to sign them out appropriately.

Students are not to order food to be delivered to the building. We ask that students bring their lunch each day or get lunch from the Phoenix Cafe. Orders delivered to the building will be confiscated and students will be disciplined according to the Code of Conduct.

During lunch, ONLY seniors are allowed to go in the "backyard". Unfortunately, we do not have enough supervision to allow all students the opportunity to go out. On special occasions, or when we have additional support, we will allow others to join. Please adhere to this policy as it is for the safety of all students.
