PRIDE IN LAWRENCE ART
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT...
The artistic stylings of our Lawrence students were on display.
We could not be more proud of the wonderful art work that was on display at this year's District Art Show. The students and teachers truly out did themselves! Please enjoy some pictures from the exhibition.
3-D Printing
According to Maplesoft Software, Lawrence has become the first school district in America to have students creating 3-D images with the use of "Maplesoft," equations created using Multivariable Calculus, and the high school's 3-D printer! We could not be any prouder of the innovative thinking and initiative the LHS students have shown!
Perry Vacchio and Safa Ilyas show off one of the equations the students have created.
The LHS 3-D Printer allows Perry Vacchio and Safa Ilyas to create an image using "Maplesoft" & Multivariable Calculus.
Fiber Arts
LHS art students have been hard at work! Students in the Fiber Arts class were busy crocheting children's hats to send to patients at Cohen's Children's Medical Center, and creating tie-dyed scarves & zipper bags sold at a Holiday Boutique.
Senior, Jordan Pina decides which materials he will need.
