WBMS Friday Notes

Reflections from Ms. Perkins
WBMS Parents and Guardians –
We had an outstanding opening week, and I bet your students will arrive home tonight tired and hopefully full of positive memories from the first week of school! We welcomed 1,174 amazing scholars this year– including 140 new enrollees and 402 6th grade Jaguars, conducted four safety drills, rolled out over 1,000 Surface devices, and taught 3,450 lessons! It was a full week!
As soon as our students entered the building on Monday, their positive energy was palpable; and I was quickly reminded how lucky I am. Not only are our students funny and bright, but also they are kind. Watching them work together and support one another throughout the first week made me a proud principal. Beyond working together on academic tasks, they offered directions to classrooms, helped one another open lockers, introduced themselves to new friends, and explained how to locate the right bus. This is truly an amazing community, and I feel fortunate to be part of it!
Please make sure your student brings a book of his or her choosing to Compass on Monday as we begin to set aside this time each week to get back to reading for pleasure. We are set to have a fabulous year at Webb Bridge Middle School. Enjoy your weekend, Jaguars!

Tip: As a digital document, you can search for specifics, for example "homework". The search tool will locate every time homework is mentioned in the document.
PC- Ctrl + F
Mac- Cmd +f
Control+F, or Command+F on a Mac, is the keyboard shortcut for the Find command. If you're in a web browser and want to search text on a web page, pressing Control+F will bring up a search box. Just type in that search box and it'll locate the text you're typing on the page. Control+F may work in other applications, too, when you need to find something. For example, Microsoft Word and other word processing applications use this keyboard shortcut.
