Writing your Reflection Paper
Guidelines and expectations
Purpose of the paper
In this paper, you will do some research on coaching (specifically for technology integration if you can find it), describe your own coaching process and experiences, and draw conclusions about the process of coaching for technology integration.
Part 1: Introduction - 10 points
What is the state of education today with respect to technology use by teachers? Set the stage for why coaching is going to be examined in this paper.
Part 2: Literature Review - 20 points
In just a few pages, include 5-7 references to literature about coaching and hopefully coaching for technology integration. These can be key ideas or references from the textbook we used. Here is a link to the book on amazon. When possible, include things that seemed to be reinforced from your own experiences as you coached.
Part 3: Methods - 20 points
This is where you tell me what you did. Talk about your school, your participants (include years of teaching, subject, grade level, their own confidence level when using technology and how and when did you meet). Remember to include any quotes or first hand observations you can as you are trying to describe those participating in the project.
For each participant you will want to make a chart or table that highlights what you all did as integration pieces (remember each needs three) and how the integration project went (successes, failures, what you will do differently next time). Include the amount of time you spent with them as you coached too. You should reference your journal if this helps you remember what happened throughout the semester.

Part 4: Findings or Results - 20 Points
This is where you try to summarize and synthesize what you learned about coaching.
Some of your conclusions can include analysis from your final coaching journal questions, comments and quotes from your teachers or their students, data on effectiveness or any other data sets you find relevant.
Be sure to address these questions:
How do you think this kind of professional development compares to traditional PD? Why?
What were the best things about the coaching experience (from both the coach and the coachee's perspective)?
What recommendations do you have for educators or administrators regarding the coaching process?
What did you learn about the coaching process?
What are some of the most critical elements (from your own experience) to think of when designing or implementing a peer coaching program?
