News from this week
Dear Parents,
Dear Parents,
We had such a wonderful Winter Party today! The kids had a lot of fun playing the games, enjoyed eating pizza and treats, and were excited to get their prizes. Thank you so much to Jenny Tysver for organizing everything! It was great seeing many of the parents that came and thank you to everyone who helped out. Also, THANK YOU SO MUCH for all of the wonderful gifts you gave me. I feel very blessed to have such wonderful students AND parents! I will post pictures from the party as soon I can create a Google album.
The Six Flags reading log came home in last week's Friday folder. Regular reading logs are not due on Monday. The Six Flags reading log will include this week's reading, as well as the reading they do over the break. Students will need to read a total of 360 minutes. Please be sure to put it on the refrigerator (or in a safe place). It is due when we return to school after winter break. All logs are due on January 8th. Students who log 6 hours of reading will receive a free entry ticket to Six Flags. Tickets come home in May and can be redeemed over the summer months. I have put a copy of the reading log on my website in case it is misplaced.
Next week we will finish up our testing for the first semester. We will have a daily grade on the Earth and Moon Phases on Monday and the Revolutionary War test on Tuesday. Report cards will be sent home in January.
I also wanted to remind you that we will not have Morning Math help this Tuesday, Dec. 19. I will continue it after we come back from Winter Break.
Wednesday will be our last day before the Winter break. I will not send home Friday Folders next week, but I will send home any papers that need to go home.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Sabine Stoffle
