How is it used?
Rohypnol is almost always ingested, or swallowed/drank. Unfortunately, one of most common reason this drug is used is for guys to spike a girls drink with it then when she is completely out of it to rape her. She will be so mentally impaired that she will not be able to do anything about the raping even though she knows it is happening. The next day her memory of the details regarding the raping will be gone.
Main reason #2 rohypnol is used it is to rave and party. Many individuals, mainly men, between the ages of 13 and 30 have been known to abuse the drugs for its extreme adverse affects on the body. They take the pill so they can have a better "high" and better intoxication.
Another way Rohypnol is less commonly used is as a sleeping pill. Nowadays do to drugging incidents the drug must be prescribed by a doctor.
How it affects your Body
There are not many long term effects besides you learning and processing abilities slowing down and becoming addicted. There are many short-term effects:
Relaxation or sedation of the body
Breathing and heart rate slow down to unhealthy levels
Abuse & Addiction
Rohypnol is abused quite often. Many people use the drug so it can make them extremely intoxicated and give them a better high from other drugs and alcohol. It is mostly abused in the party scene, by teens and college students who want to be more loose felt. here are some symptoms:
-uses more often at higher doses
-become busy do to using it
-hard to be happy/relax without it
-cant sleep without it
Addiction
Addiction is actually VERY serious when it comes to this drug. Being Addicted to Rohypnol can cause Psychological and Physical dependence. It is very easy to become addicted to Rohypnol because your body can build a tolerance to it quickly making you need more and more of it to feel its effects. It is very serious to be addicted to Rohypnol because of the extreme withdrawal symptoms:
-extreme cases or confusion, anxiety, restlessness, tension.
-headaches &muscle pains
-numbness and extreme tingling
-hallucinations, delirium
-convulsions, seizures, or shock
