Watchers
Author: Dean Koontz
Quote #1
“life is more than intellect” -Dean Koontz
I suppose that what Dean is trying to say is that life isn't meant to be competitive like who's the smartest, strongest, or the best at everything overall and to just enjoy life as it is.
Quote #2
“The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed. —Dean Koontz
I think that the significance of this quote is that when two people meet, if some sort of connection is formed, the two people will never be the same again - similar to when two elements meet in chemistry; they won't ever be the same again.
Travis Cornell

The Watcher
This monster symbolizes the fear inside that everyone feels just like Travis did when he was in the woods escaping some sort of creature with Einstein.
Death
Death symbolizes what a part of this book is about like how Travis loses all of his loved ones, Nora lives alone after her aunt died, and how Vince is a hitman killing people everyday.

Review
Others should read this book because although the story is long (600 pages), it still keeps you hanging at the edge of a cliff and it's a story like none other. This is probably one of the best books I have ever read and better yet that I still haven't finished it but I'm looking forward to what will happen next. I definitely recommend this book to others and I assure you it will be worth it if you like suspense and mystery.
