A sweet Good Bye to Canyon Boo and Halloween

It is hard to believe it is already November! Canyon Boo and Halloween are over and the kids are now handing off all the candy they don't like to us parents. I hope you enjoyed the festivities as much as my family did this year. A huge shout out to all the volunteers who made this year a success and to Principal Henikman for allowing us to go crazy with all the decorations.

Science Fair meeting Thursday, November 12 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.

Join us on Wednesday, November 12th from 6:00 to 7:00 PM in the MPR for an informational meeting about this year's SARSEF competition. A representative from the Southern Arizona Research Science and Engineering Foundation will be on hand to give a brief speech about the competition and answer questions.

Box Top Class Winner is........Mrs. Hays' 5th Grade class

Congratulations to Mrs. Hays and her 5th grade class. They will get an Eegee's party for all their hard work collecting Box Tops. Their grand total was $131! Total raised by the school $755!!!

Canyon View Book Club November Picks

"The Celery Stalks at Midnight" by James Howe was chosen by the second and third graders for this month's book pick. Third and Fourth graders had two selections, "Night Fairy" by Laura Schlitz and "Magician's Elephant" by Kate DiCamillo.

Shade Structure is complete!

Finally, the shade structure is up and providing our kindergarteners with protection from the sun. Thank you again to all the students and families who participated in the Math Madness last year. Together we can do great things!
