A Message From Dr. Ricks
Parents and Friends,
As you read this, I am in Baton Rouge at a workshop for Principals of LA A+ Schools. I am always thankful to have the opportunity to interact with other school leaders and learn new ideas to bring back to Grace. I am also thankful that we are a part of this wonderful organization and that we continue to improve our practice to make GES a better learning place for your children. My appreciation goes out to our faculty and administrative staff for "holding down the fort" while I am away. I never worry knowing that your children are in good hands each and every day.
Thank you for your generous contributions this morning to our local Humane Animal Shelters this morning; we have $246.00 to donate to our community shelters. Blessing of the Animals was a rousing success, and we had the largest crowd in 30 years. Ms. Lynn said that all of our animal friends were on their best behavior!
We have almost 50 Middle School students leaving today for a weekend retreat at Camp Hardtner in Pollock. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers for safe travels, meaningful conversations, and good fun. Have a great weekend and enjoy this cooler weather!
Warmly,
Dr. Beth J. Ricks

Athletic News - Rick Greene
This week in GES Athletics...
The 5/6 Football team had a great game against crosstown River Oaks. Henry Cagle scored twice and Jalen Francois scored once to lead the team to a 22-0 victory. The 3/4 football team saw Jaylen Greer score the only TD and they won 6-0. We couldn't be more proud of all the Gator football men.
Next Game: Monday, Oct 5 @ Riverdale 6PM
The Cross Country team traveled to Ruston Jr. High for a meet, and we would like to congratulate all the runners who improved on their times. Helen Johnson was the top GES runner and she was overall 6th place in the 7/8 girls division.
Next Meet: Saturday, Oct 6 @ Cedar Creek 8AM
