No Excuses University @ Bear Creek

At Bear Creek, we are proud to be a member of the No Excuses University Network. As a No Excuses School we believe that every student has a right to be educated in a way that prepares them for college. We discuss goals, have college conversations, and end our announcements each day with the phrase "After high school comes college"!

Review plans for the end of year supply pick up. We look forward to seeing the students one last time before summer! Please have your car sign visible when you come through for pick up-that will speed up the process!

Week 11 Learning@Home

Welcome to Week 11 of GCISD learning@Home. Below are the links to the Week 10 Parent Checklist and Week 11 Student-friendly Work. The Parent Checklist is there to help guide you with your child’s learning. The Student-friendly Work will be sent to the student’s device.

We know that you may not be able to have your student(s) complete each day’s tasks on the assigned day and also understand that some of our parents are working either remotely or at an essential business. We encourage you to have your student(s) work on these tasks when it best fits in with your family's schedule. This coming week, teachers will track student participation, monitor student progress, provide individual feedback to the student and note completion of work. In summation,

  • Parents will receive an email from teachers with the weekly lesson overview of student expectations.

  • Teachers will interact daily with students providing classroom-specific information related to the weekly plan.

  • Parents may have their students complete the tasks as it fits in with their weekly schedules.

We appreciate the efforts you are making at home with your student(s). We understand that this is not easy nor a part of your usual weekly schedule. Thank you for your continued patience and support as we navigate this unprecedented time.

Your child's final report card of the 2019-20 school year will be available through Skyward on Wednesday, June 3, 2020,
