Did you know that IDOE has launched the Early Learning Foundations Guidance Online tool - a resource to support educators working with children ages 0-5? In this online tool, there are strategies to support young children in developing skills within the context of Indiana’s Early Learning Foundations. Often times, we find that kindergarten teachers find strategies in the “Younger and Older Preschool” sections helpful to support their students in the beginning of the school year. IDOE has also created a crosswalk between the Social-Emotional Learning Competencies and the Social-Emotional and Approaches to Play and Learning Early Learning Foundations for your reference. For questions regarding the Early Learning Foundations or the guidance, please contact Early Learning Specialist, Krystal Robinson, at krobinson2@doe.in.gov.

AP Fridays
Purdue University Science K-12 Outreach is excited to once again offer AP Fridays at Purdue during the Fall 2019 semester. The purpose of these lab sessions is to provide schools with the time and support needed to conduct suggested AP Labs in a guided-inquiry format on a college campus. Participation in one of the scheduled labs would help to ensure AP students have access to necessary resources outlined in the AP curriculum frameworks that are requirements of the AP Course Audit. The AP Lab sessions are FREE to any participating high school that registers to attend. Space is limited. Teachers will be able to register their classes on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional details will be sent to teachers that register. Please click on the following link to access our sign-up sheet through a Google Form and to get more information about dates and topics offered this semester.

Analytical Algebra II Form UPDATED
Last year the State Board of Education (SBOE) created a consent form for Analytical Algebra II. SBOE has updated the consent form to more accurately reflect the graduation requirements for all diploma types. Please find the revised form here. The consent portion of the form and the process for obtaining consent has not changed. Student enrollment in Analytical Algebra II, in lieu of Algebra II, requires a signed consent form. Please contact Dr. Jennifer Jensen with any questions.
