replacement house shirts are now available to order
If your child has lost or outgrown his/her HOUSE shirt, you can now purchase a replacement. We will only take orders through My School Fees. We will take orders for a couple of weeks and then place one big order.
MOST NEW STUDENTS IN 1ST-5TH GRADE RECEIVED THEIR SHIRT THIS WEEK (WE HAVE TO ORDER A FEW ADDITIONAL SIZES). KINDERGARTEN WILL GET THEIR SHIRTS IN A FEW WEEKS (WAITING ON MORE SMALL SIZES).
Please follow these instructions:
1. If you are new to My School Fees, you will need to create an account and add your student(s). You will need your student's school ID number. This is the number they use to access their device. You can get that from his/her teacher or call the school.
2. When you login, you will click on your child's name where it says "Show Student Fees"
3. Click on the box that says "HOUSE"
4. Select a HOUSE shirt (cost is $6) and add to your cart
5. Select the size - there are youth S, M, L, XL and adult S, M, L, XL, XXL
6. Click submit to add that shirt to the cart
**If you are purchasing for more than one student, PLEASE start at #2 for each one. We will use the student name to determine which HOUSE shirt you need.
Remember, that you must put in the check or credit card information EXACTLY correct or it will not process and you will be charged $25.
If you have any trouble with My School Fees, please contact our bookkeeper Donna Troncale at dtroncale@hoover.k12.al.us or (205) 439-3211

A Note from the principal
We would like to remind you that students should leave any "unauthorized communication device" turned off and in their backpacks. The HCS Code of Conduct states...
Students are not permitted to use wireless/electronic devices at school without express permission from the school principal or designee. (Devices include but are not limited to cell phones, cell phone accessories including earbuds and headphones, computers, or wearables.)
Students are allowed to use earbuds or earphones when using their Chromebooks and sound is necessary. Students are not allowed to use wearables or cell phones during the school day. A wearable is an electronic device that is physically worn by individuals in order to track, analyze and transmit personal data. Wearables would include Apple watches or any such device that can be used to communicate through text or voice messaging.
We understand that some students need their communication device when they go home, so we allow them to be off and in the backpack until the student gets home. Please know that most backpacks are hung in the halls and are not constantly monitored. The school is not responsible for any lost or stolen devices, but we are always glad to assist in finding a missing item, should that occur.
Thanks for your support,
Dr. Stocks and Mrs. Williams
covid update
Please continue checking the health of your child every morning before school for overall wellness. Take a temperature EVERY morning and determine if signs of illness exist. Students with a fever of 100 degrees or higher or who are exhibiting any signs of being ill or have COVID symptoms should not come to school. If your child does have symptoms, he/she will need to be cleared by a doctor to return to school.
We will continue to follow the district's protocol for notifying parents of close contacts of students who have tested positive for COVID.
We want to continue to keep our students in school, so it is going to take each of you staying mindful of illness, encouraging your child to wash or sanitize hands frequently, and keep the face covering on inside.
Thank you!
