Great Depression
The Great Depression. was a severe worldwide economic depression in the. decade preceding World War II. Cities all around the world were affected by this. The stock market crashed and then from that point on, the economy would be ruined for the next decade. Unemployment shot up to 20 percent. The Great Depression was also cause by insecure structures in banks and stocks.

John Steinbeck
Steinbeck was an author who wrote, " Of Mice and Men" Steinbeck was awarded with the Nobel prize for literature in 1962. Steinbeck writes both fiction, and non fictional books. Steinbeck was in the American league of writers.

Of Mice and Men
This novel is written by Steinbeck. It takes place during the Great Depression in the 1930s. It tells a story of two ranch workers looking for jobs. This novel is one of steinbecks most known work. It was also made into a movie later.

How they all tie together
All of these tie together because Steinbeck wrote the book. The Great Depression gives us the foundation for the novel. And Of Mice and Men gives us the story.
