Hello Crawford Families,

Thank you for sharing your children with us for the first quarter of the 2021-2022 school year. As you know, tomorrow, Friday, October 15th, is the last day of the first quarter. To allow teachers time to work on end-of-quarter grades, school will be dismissed for students at 12:40 pm.

Teachers will be sending out information so that you are able to set appointments for Parent Teacher Conferences, to be held on October 28th and 29th. There will be no school for students on those days so that teachers are able to meet with you to discuss your child's progress in school.

These conferences are an excellent time for you to gain valuable information from teachers about the instructional program and to ask questions. It may be helpful to write your questions down as you think of them leading up to conferences, since it is sometimes hard to think of them in the moment. Know that we work in partnership with families for the best outcomes for students, and the teachers at Crawford welcome your questions and involvement in your child's education.

For our 5th and 6th grade families, we will be beginning our second quarter Encores on November 1st, with the addition of a Personalized Learning Period that students will be assigned to for additional time and instruction from their grade level team teachers. We are very excited about this and can't wait to share the details with you at conferences.
