Skagit Academy Tuesday Talk

November 16, 2021 - Week 11

Even though school has been canceled throughout the Mount Vernon School District today, Skagit Academy will have an at-home school day.

*Onsite classes will not be in session. We will not make up the day at the end of the school year.

  • Assignments for AC students will be distributed via Google classroom as usual.
  • Week 10 homework will be collected and Week 11 homework will be distributed.
  • Week 10 homework needs to be handed in via Google classroom by the normal time in order to not be considered late.
  • NOTE: There may be an added assignment for what would have been presented in class.
  • Teachers will be available via zoom (by request) and by email throughout the day.
  • Please clarify assignments so students are able to continue with weekly learning.
  • Students in LC, PREP & SYN will use the day for at-home work as usual.

While we will not be on campus, Tuesday remains a school day, and students are expected to participate.

Native American Heritage Month

Trailer: Our America: Indigenous and Urban

This Native American Heritage Month, ABC Localish Studios presents "Our America: Indigenous and Urban," an episodic visual journal of Native American men and women sharing their modern-day Indigenous experience, which is often hidden in plain sight and overlooked by mainstream media. They show us the beauty and complexity of embracing their rich heritage in their urban lives as they work to preserve traditions, amplify the voices of their communities, and represent what it means to be Indigenous.

Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with "Our America: Indigenous and Urban" on Wednesday, November 17, on this ABC station or wherever you stream: Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV or Roku.
