Learn How to Survive in the Wilderness!!

Friday, March 24th, 10:30am-2pm

One Nature’s Way Lancaster, PA 17602

Wilderness Survival (Grades 4 - 12)

Learn basic survival skills, such as how to avoid getting lost, how to build a shelter, how to pack a survival kit, how to build a fire, and more.


We will meet at Central Park--2nd floor auditorium

10:30-11:00- arrival/ sign in/ name tags

11:00- 11:30-- Introduction to Wilderness Survival


12:00-2:00: Hands on Wilderness survival activities guided by a Naturalist.

2:00 pm: Departure

Cost: FREE

purpose: educational and socialization

educational outcome:

students will learn about their environment and how to utilize their environment to survive through the use of math and science. From techniques to avoid getting lost, building shelter, finding food and building a fire, students will increase their understanding and knowledge of wilderness survival.

OLS hours:

30 minutes of History/ 120 minutes of Science

An adult chaperone must stay on-site for all PA Virtual events.

Shoes must be worn at all times.

All PA Virtual events are smoke-free.

Pets should never be brought to PA Virtual events.

To limit the spread of possible flu, please do not attend a PA Virtual event if you have had a fever within 24 hours of the event.

In consideration of our students with allergies, please refrain from bringing balloons or food containing nut products.
