STUDENT SHOUT OUTS of the WEEK
Math Competition
SMS hosted schools from the area, over 100 middle school students, 31 represented SMS. Students did a great job competing Saturday morning. Students won medals, a blue ribbon or a red ribbon. SMS teams performed in the top 2 categories! Way to go and thank you to all that supported the event. Special thanks to math teacher, Mrs. Kim Scott as well, for organizing this great event and for the support and collaboration of Mrs. Fitzgerald, Mrs. Costanzo and Mrs. Kubeck.
OMEA Honors Orchestra
This weekend, OMEA Honors Orchestra performed at Westlake High School. These 7th grade students spent all day practicing and performing with guest conductor Lisa Goldman and other 8th graders from surrounding middle schools. They worked incredibly hard and we am so proud of them!

Our next meal night fundraiser is Tuesday March 14th at Raising Cane's in Strongsville from 4 PM - 10 PM. 9th Grade Scheduling Information
9th Grade Scheduling InformationThe scheduling window for 8th graders to choose their courses for 9th grade begins on February 13th and ends February 22nd. 9th Grade class registration can be done on your own at any time when the portal is open, but all students will have the opportunity to complete their registration at school on Thursday, February 16th in their social studies class. Please be sure to talk with your child prior to that day about their courses for next year. To assist in choosing classes, please reference the following resources:

Don’t miss the return of the Harlem Wizards to Strongsville on Tuesday, March 7 at 6:30pm. Watch the Wizards compete in a fun-filled basketball game against a team of SCS All-Stars (Teachers & Staff) in the SHS Main Gymnasium. SHS Cheer Tryouts for the 23-24 season will be March 27-March 31st. If you are interested in trying out please scan the QR code to register for tryouts. There will be a mandatory parent/cheerleader meeting on March 6th at 6pm in the auditorium.

Strongsville Youth Lacrosse
Strongsville Youth Lacrosse - Registration for Spring Season NOW OPEN!
Come be a part of America’s fastest growing sport. Strongsville Youth Lacrosse has been growing since 2008 and registration for the 2023 spring season is now open for boys and girls in 2nd-8th grades! Indoor practices begin mid-February and the outdoor season runs from late March through May. All experience levels welcome. Girls Youth Strongsville Golf Camp
Join Strongsville High School Golf Team coaches and varsity golf players at the Girls Youth Strongsville Golf Camp! The camp is open to girls in 4th - 8th grades and focuses on developing the proper techniques in the golf swing, as well as improving skills for the short game and putting. The camp fee is $100 and will be held once a week in April and May from 6pm - 7pm at Valleaire Golf Club (6969 Boston Rd. / Hinckley).
