Carolina Springs Elementary
May 2022
A message from Mr. Brown:
It is bittersweet that we are entering May and the final few weeks of the 2021-2022 school year. We have a month packed with events ahead that will celebrate teachers and students at CSES and I am so very excited for those opportunities for this school community. We look forward to field trips, Field Day, 5th grade Promotion Ceremony (in June) and the 5K Celebration of Learning among many others.
This week we celebrate the wonderful teachers that we have at CSES. I am so thankful for the hard work they put in every day for your students. This group has truly made the impossible possible this year and deserve to be celebrated for the impact that they make on your children everyday!
This month is also state assessment month, where our 3rd-5th grade students take the SC READY/SCPASS. I encourage all of our students in the upper grades to be prepared for those testing dates by getting good rest and eating a good breakfast before the assessments. We want each student to do his/her personal best on those tests!
As this year winds down I want to thank each of you for what you have done to make sure your children have had a successful year. When you think back to how this year started- going virtual for a week early in the year and our students having to persevere through another year of staying in pods, only playing with certain friends on the playground and eating lunch in the classroom, our students have been resilient! I am so thankful and excited that we are entering our “new normal” of school and I know that the possibilities are endless at CSES.
I hope that parents, students and teachers continue to grow the strong relationships that have been developed this year through the end of this school year. We will miss our 5th graders as they head to CSMS and our younger students will be back in a blink of the eye.
Keep reading Huskies!
Oh, the places we’ll go!
