Sunday and Every Day: Taking it Home

In honor of upcoming spring holidays (Purim and Easter) and our Source of Jewish and Christian traditions this year, last Sunday the children learned about a parable of Jesus (The Good Samaritan) and about Esther.

Discuss it at home:

1. Who is your neighbor? Who are the people you should take care of? Who will take care of you?

2. When a people are in a new land, how should they be treated? How can we care for the refugee and the immigrant?

3. What does it feel like to be a refugee or an immigrant? How can you feel good about (or pride in) who you are?

Social Justice Action:

1. Support AIDNW and their mission to support immigrants in detention in the Northwest. https://aidnw.org/

Spiritual Practice:

Celebrate the coming of spring by making your yard welcoming to wildlife!

Add to our "Faithful Journey"

For this month's theme of "Journey", we invite you to add some steps or wheels to our "Faithful Journeys" poster in the back hallway. Take a pre-cut footprint or wheelchair track and write on it how you have been living your faith journey recently, then glue it to our poster. Come check out how others have been living their faith journeys as well!
