Greenhouse Garden

Mrs. Ward's class enjoys working in the greenhouse each week. They have planted so much and are enjoying watching it all grow. They go out weekly to water, monitor progress, and to put in more plants. So far the class has planted corn, beans, squash, broccoli, cantaloupe, pumpkin, radishes, lettuce, spinach, bell peppers, an herb garden, multiplying onions, lavender, and pansies. Mrs. Ward plans to use the garden for cooking lessons and to raise funds for things they may need in the classroom.

We practice Social Distancing at BMS!

BMS was chosen as an A+ College Ready Middle School Training & Incentive Program School!

Along with only 6 other middle schools in Alabama chosen for this honor, Brookwood Middle School has committed to dive deep into the A+ College Ready program designed specifically for middle schools whose feeder high schools are not in the AP Training & Incentive Program. This will result in the implementation of high-quality, highly-challenging courses in grades 6-8.

PSAT - As part of the MSTIP, our 7th and 8th grade students will take the PSAT this fall and then again in the spring. Those who show growth in their PSAT scores will receive gift cards from A+.

Huge CONGRATULATIONS go out to the new members of our Scholar Bowl Team!

Friday, October 16 will be an E-Learning Day for all TCSS students. Students will not report to campus on that day. More information will be sent home about this.

All students in the Tuscaloosa County School System will be able to eat both breakfast and lunch at school, at no cost to students. This applies to all TCSS students - they do not have to be eligible for reduced-price or free meals. Meals available to TCSS Remote Learners, through our weekly meal pick-up, will also be available at no cost to students.

We are proud to be able to provide this service to help support our families!
