Granville Academy K-5 & 6-8 Family Support/Outreach Groups
K-5 & 6-8 Granville Academy families:
There are two Facebook groups that are set up for GA Pirates and families in grades K-5 & 6-8 (as parents and students) to come together and get to know each other better. The idea behind the pages is to have somewhere to go for support (help with assignments that may be confusing) or to plan a fun outing with the group ("Hey, anyone want to go to the park and have lunch this Friday?").
Please note the pages are set up to protect the privacy of students & families. Only GA Pirates are allowed to join. Please search for the groups on Facebook!
We are looking forward to getting to know our GA Pirates!

Weekly Message from the MS Teachers:
I have attached the checklists to this message and they have also been posted on Google Classroom for students.
Please sign and return Student Code of Conduct pages as soon as possible! Students received them at school last week, they are in the back of a yellow booklet.
All work should have been submitted last night if it is to be reflected on this quarter's report card. Please remember that Granville Academy does cumulative grading. This means that student grades will be a running average all year long, and each quarter's average will NOT be averaged together at the end of the year. Report cards are essentially another progress report to see your student's progress at the time. Please let us know if you have any questions about this.
There will be after school tutoring this week on Monday (Mary Potter) and Wednesday (Tar River) until 3pm. Please make sure you are here to pick up your student promptly at 3pm. Any student is allowed to stay to work, but we HIGHLY recommend that students who are behind on work stay to get caught up.
There is Science Olympiad practice this week! It will be on Tuesday (Mary Potter) and Wednesday (Tar River) until 2:30pm. Please make sure you are here to pick up your student at that time.
Since the end of the quarter is here, report cards will be going out next week! We will be hosting parent-teacher conferences next week so that you can pick up report cards and talk with us about your student's grades. All meeting times are first come, first serve. There are times available on Tuesday, 11/5 at Mary Potter and Wednesday, 11/6 at Tar River. Please make sure you read through the entire form before you finish signing up. Please click HERE to sign up for a time to meet.
Due to meetings and parent-teacher conferences, there will be NO after school tutoring NEXT week (11/4-11/8). Please make sure all students are picked up by 1pm each day next week.
