A quick look at great technology to make your life easier
Using Technology to Help Organize
This week I am featuring a few websites and/or tools that help you stay organized in the classroom. Whether it's having bellwork look a little different to catch the students' eyes or reminding yourself of the things you have to get done, organization can help us all.
ifaketext.com
In a matter of minutes, create a screenshot of a "fake" text. This is a fun, eye-catching way to give the students bell-work instructions or many other uses in the classroom. Click this link for more information
Drop Box
Drop Box gives you free storage for all of your documents, pictures, etc. so you can work on them at home, school or wherever you may be.
If I take a picture using my iPad or iPhone, within seconds it will show up on my Smartboard computer. It's a great way to share student work with the entire class.
You only get limited space for free but it has been more than enough for me.
Sticky Notes
Are you always forgetting things? You can add Sticky Notes to your computer screen and it's like a Post-It note is always there to remind you.
To use Sticky Notes:
Click on the Windows circle in the bottom left of the screen
Sticky Notes should be right on that menu
Click on it and it will automatically put a sticky note on your screen that you can edit however you would like.
We have it, now let's use it!
Teachers have been using the Chromebooks and doing great things in their classrooms this year. Don't miss out! I have many dates available in future weeks for you to use the Chromebooks in your classroom. Email me what days you would like and your possibilities are endless!
Questions? Need help?
Stop by the library or email me with questions. If you are totally lost, I would be happy to help you get started.
