Updated PiE Calendar
- We’ve added dates for a number of events to the second half of the school year – example Color Run, Paint Nights, Plant Sale! It is available at https://dtspie.com/
Note To School
- Tired of writing notes to the school when your child needs to stay after school or is being signed out early?
- PiE has just the answer - a notepad with the key data points the school needs already pre-printed and organized. Simply fill in your personal data and send along with your child.
- Reach out to dtspie@gmail.com to order yours. One pad is $3; two pads for $5.
ShopRite Gift Card Program
- Do you shop at ShopRite? Help us earn money all year long by simply buying gift cards from PiE. Register for your increment using the form found here: https://dtspie.com/support-pie-donate/
- How it works - you register using the form, each month, you will receive the gift card increment (for example $100), and then you write a check to PiE for the $100. Super simple and if you shop at ShopRite, it doesn’t cost you anything more or less!!
- PiE makes 5% on every gift card purchase so that same $100, earns PiE $5.
Volunteer
- VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for PiE Events!
Want to volunteer some of your time for PiE events? Fill out the Google Form & be notified of any upcoming PiE events in need of volunteers.

DTS will be serving fresh pizza from Nicola's Pizza every Friday!
At the March 14th board meeting, the board accepted the notice of retirement from our superintendent, Dr. Wiener, effective 9/1/23. We could not be more grateful for his 18 years of dedicated service to our school and its students which included delaying his retirement to provide DTS with stable leadership through the pandemic and beyond. Over the next few months he will continue to provide this leadership and guidance to ensure a smooth transition. We will miss Dr. Wiener’s friendly face in our hallways but wish him a well-deserved retirement!
Choosing a new superintendent is one of the most important responsibilities of the BOE. The board is committed to a fair, transparent and inclusive search. To help facilitate this, the board chose to work with the New Jersey School Boards Association Superintendent Search Services. The board will be welcoming input from all DTS stakeholders as we begin the process. Further information and updates over the next few months will be provided as we seek a highly qualified candidate who will lead our unique school into the future and keep student needs the priority.
