GIFTED AND TALENTED NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN
Referral requests are now open for Conroe Independent School District Gifted and Talented program. Although the testing will not take place until late January for both remote and in-person platforms, referral requests are accepted at this time. Referral requests can be made by the parents and/or teachers. It is recommended that parents of 2nd grade students wait until CogAT scores have arrived before nominating their child because CogAT scores are part of the GT assessment. If you are interested in referring your child, you may want to discuss this with your child’s teacher at conferences. Referrals will be accepted through December 18. You may request a referral form from the front office or the Assistant Principal. You can also find the referral form and other GT information on the CISD GT homepage.
Virtual Book Fair
The Scholastic Book Fair is back! While the Fair will be exclusively held online this year, we still plan on making it a fun and joyous experience for our kids.
The Fair will connect your kids to notable books and inspiring characters — helping them become lifelong readers. And you’ll love the new option to shop for Book Fair exclusives — directly from the interactive booklist.
Plus, enjoy these special online shopping features:
Access to over 6,000 products
All orders ship direct to home
FREE shipping on book-only orders over $25*
All purchases support our school and earn 25% in rewards
Save these dates and view our school’s Fair site:
Fair Dates: October 12 - October 25
Thank you for continuing to support our school. We can’t wait to “see” you at the Fair!
Our tardy time is 8:01 a.m. for face to face students. Please do your best to get your child to school before 8:00 a.m. If your child eats breakfast at school, the earlier the better to allow them time to eat before class starts.
NOTES FROM THE NURSE
Happy October and Fall Weather!
With cooler temperatures please make sure your child is properly dressed. Please also send a jacket with them. And as always please pack a full extra set of clothes just in case.
Along with Covid-19 we are also monitoring Flu numbers. Please contact the school and let us know if your child has tested positive for the Flu and type if you were informed of it. Thank you for your help.

COMPUTER/HOT SPOT RETURN
We are still in need of extra funds for benches, chairs, and tables for the students to use while outside. You can make a donation towards this venture on the PTO website under the "donate" button. If you know of businesses or individuals willing to support this venture, please reach out to them and point them towards our PTO.
