Executive Committee Update

Friday, October 5th

Have you visited our website today? Anna's done a great job and refreshed the content and updated the What's On section to include information on Christmas Crackers and Ding Dong Merrily. There are a couple of technical issues which New Media (our website developers) are looking into and these are preventing the Book Now link button working so that's been removed for now.

Do you tweet? Worth having a look at YMTC's twitter account (you don't need to sign up to anything or tweet yourself, just follow the link from the Useful Links page on our website).

We issued a press release following the AGM and it has been published in The Press today (http://www.yorkpress.co.uk/leisure/theatre/9968917.Jim_Welsman_steps_down_at_York_Musical_Theatre_Company/).

Christmas Events

We've got these dates now confirmed in the diary:

Saturday 24th November - Christmas Crackers, Sheriff Hutton Village Hall

Sunday 2nd December - Christmas Crackers, The Black Lion, Thirsk

Tuesday 4th December - Ding Dong Merrily, National Centre for Early Music

First rehearsal is on Monday 15th October - I hope as many of the Executive Committee as can will take part in some or all of these events but even if you are unable to do so your support at the first rehearsal would be appreciated.

Just waiting for confirmation on date for our annual visit to sing Christmas carols at The Leonard Cheshire Home, Alne.

Spring 2013

Joseph Rowntree Theatre booked Sunday 7th April - Saturday 13th April.

Application to perform sent to Samuel French Limited - confirmation awaited - will be ready with announcement as soon as we receive the contract.

Again Anna has been working hard to produce the first edition of STAGE DOOR, our new newsletter for members - the content is ready, just waiting on a technical issue being resolved and then it will issue - hopefully Monday. Look out for it!
