Welcome back to our lovely school

Classroom Moves

A huge welcome back to everyone after a long Easter holiday. I hope that you have all had a nice relaxing time off....

We have seen a few changes to our classrooms over the Easter holiday, with Dragonflies moving into the main building, Anna's Grasshoppers moving into the upstairs classroom and the library moving downstairs into the room opposite Chris.

The children have all been great helping move the classrooms before Easter and are very happy and settled within their new environments.

Skipping Day - Friday 25th May - £4.50

This Friday the whole school will take part in a Skipping 4 schools day. We have invited Sports Skipping for Schools to host an all day skipping coaching session where the children will have the opportunity to learn a range of skipping skills. There will be a cost of £4.50 per child for this activity. If your child has enough money in their trips & activities pot, I will email you, otherwise, please could all monies be put in a named envelope on Friday morning. Many Thanks

The skipping coach will work with groups of children throughout the day, introducing a variety of skipping skills and will ensure that children get the opportunity to learn something new while still having lots of fun, whether they are girls or boys, beginners or more advanced skippers. We hope that the children will have a great day and will also continue to improve their skills at home as well as at school.

Children do not need to bring their own skipping ropes as these will be provided by the skipping school. However, skipping ropes will be available for sale at the end of the day should you wish to purchase one from Skipping4schools.

Parents are invited to attend a presentation at 3pm to see what the children have learnt throughout their day.

Meadows in Action (MIA)

Thank you to Meadows in Action for providing our library with 4 new shelving units and also a thank you to Jack & Alfies's mum and dad for donation of their lovely shelves in the library as well.

Coffee catch up to be held at The Laurels Garden Centre - Henley Road - Friday 25th April after morning school drop off.

Handwriting Workshops For Parents

Wed 30th April or Mon 12th May 3.30pm

The school are holding an information workshop for parents to support the roll out of the new handwriting policy. Although the workshop is not compulsory, we would like as many parents as possible to come along to support the children with their handwriting.

Please let Jo know which workshop you would like to attend.

After school club will be showing a movie on both these nights and will cater for extra children on both nights should you wish to attend and leave your child in After school care.

Apologies that the dates in the original newsletter were incorrect and the 2 correct dates are shown above.

Reception children in Dragonflies will be having a messy day on Tuesday 29th April. If they have an apron, please could you send one in for the children.

We would also like any donations of junk modelling such as milk cartons, plastic bottles for this day as well.

Many Thanks - Kayleigh, kristie & Rachael
