Thomas Hobbes was a english philosopher best known today for his work on political philosophy.
Details:
Cause: Hobbes was a champion of absolutism for the sovereign, but he also developed some of the fundamentals of European liberal thought. He was one of the founders of modern political philosophy and political science.
Characteristics:
-Thomas Hobbes was born on April 5, 1588 and he died on December 4, 1697.
-Hobbe's first area of study was an interest in the physical doctrine of motion and physical momentum. Despite his interest in his phenomenon, he disdained experimental work as in physics.
Significance:
We still use his teachings today. (Physics and geometry)
