Reading skills for the week:


Phonics/Letter Sounds: Phonograms: -out, -ow, -own, -ound. We will also be reviewing long vowels.

Sight Words: answered, baby, done, heard, pools, pushed, together

Robust Vocabulary: quivered, walled, elated, scattered, lonesome, hopeless

Story Town: What Brad Found", "Ebb and Flo and the Baby Seal", and "Fellini the Fur Seal"

Spelling Words: round, found, sound, shout, out, about, cow, how, crown, frown

Each student is allowed 6 parent excuse per year (this is a change from years past). Parent excuses can be a hand written note, or you may email the excuse to your child's teacher and copy the excuse to : PPattendance@trussvillecityschools.com.

Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration packets for 2016-2017 are now available in the both elementary school offices, the Board of Education and on the Trussville City Schools website.
