What's Buzzing in the Hive
November 2020 Volume 1 Issue 2
Dear Families,
THRIVE in the HIVE
Greeting Brilliant Bee Family,
We ask that you continue to guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that they:
In-person learners
· Arrive to school on time. School begins at 7:50am. School ends at 3:05pm.
Please drop off and pick up students around the back of the building. Students walking to school will enter by the gym.
· Ensure your child has all supplies and work needing to be turned in.
· Encourage your child to participate in classroom.
· Make sure your child is in dress code and wears a mask daily.
· Encourage your child to follow rules about wearing mask and washing hands and using sanitizer throughout the day.
Attendance Requirements:
· Remote attendance will count in the same manner as on-campus (face-to-face) attendance in satisfying this requirement.
· It is important that students understand that virtual learning attendance is based on daily engagement, not solely the completion of assignments.
The wonderful Bill J. Elliott Elementary staff and I feel privileged to be a part of this school family. If you need any assistance please contact us at 817-815-4600.

Notes from the nurse
Notes from the Nurse
Immunizations need to be kept up to date, even for Virtual instruction, per state mandates. If I have called you about shot records, please send a copy to the school. Thanks!
In order to prevent the spread of Covid-19, a new safety measure took effect this school year. The Centers for Disease Control, American Academy of Allergy and Asthma and Immunology, and the Asthma and Allergy Network recommended removing nebulizer treatments from the school setting. The FWISD Medical Consultant supports this position. Therefore, we will be unable to administer nebulizer treatments for students. FWISD Health Services recommends that parents of students requiring nebulizer treatments contact their health care provider to switch to an inhaler or an inhaler with a chamber/spacer attachment when appropriate. Inhalers will be administered as ordered.
Wear your masks and wash your hands!
Everyone spills juice sometimes. It is a great idea to have a change of clothing in your student’s backpack!
If your child has any of the following symptoms, please keep them home until they no longer have these symptoms:
Runny Nose

Body Aches
