Raider Update
A Weekly eNewsletter from Hastings Public Schools
Message from the Superintendent
Hello Raider families!
Tuesday is a big day for us, as we bring back our first group of students to in-person learning. I am so excited to have students back in buildings. Our plan also remains to bring grades 3 and 4 to in-person learning, and 5th grade to hybrid on February 1st. We meet with our regional support team this week, where we will explore timing for rolling in grades 6-12. Our numbers have trended downward with county cases per 10,000 at 40 this week, however prediction models have us staying in the mid-forties to fifties for the next couple of weeks. Lots of great information below, so please take some time with it. Thank you for your continued support as we continue to navigate learning during COVID.
Survey Results
We invited parents and secondary students to share their feedback in late December about Distance Learning. We want to say thank you to the nearly 800 parents and 1100 students who shared their thoughts with us. Each school is digging into the data to better understand what is working during distance learning and what things we may need to change in order to better support our students and families.
