Fall is in the air, and we are excited to tell you about what is happening here at Community Education.
Youth Classes and Activities
My Picasso Color with Fabrics
Come enjoy a fun filled morning of fun, creativity and color as you use fabric to create your very own masterpiece! Fabric will be available to purchase. (Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult.)
Youth Group Guitar
Have you always wanted to play guitar? Here's your chance to learn. Beginners will learn basic chords, tuning and song interpretation. By course completion, students should have a good understanding of major/minor chords and expect to be able to play most simple songs. Students will also possess the tools to improve on their own.
Pumpkin Painting
Come celebrate Fall by painting pumpkins at DeAnn’s Country Village Shoppe. Paints and other supplies will be provided. This is a fun activity you will not want to miss!(Brushes will be available for purchase, and you need to bring your own pumpkin.)
LDC Youth Hockey Preseason Camp (ages 7-15)
The LDC Youth Hockey Preseason Camp is for participants in the LDC Youth Hockey Association. It is intended for Last Year mites/Last year 8U- Bantams/14U who want to get an early jump on the season. Skills and fundamentals of the game such as skating, puck handling, and shooting will be stressed. Participants will have skills and drills for an hour and fifteen minutes and then play 4-4 for an hour and fifteen minutes.
Run & Romp Costume Party
Come to this family favorite gym night in your holiday costume and enjoy slides, balls, and wide-open spaces. The Costume Parade will start at 6:15. Snacks are provided along with a few quieter activities such as drawing and play dough. Parents, please remember you need to supervise your little ones at ALL times!
TTouch Dog Training for Kids (10+)
Tellington TTouch is a unique, positive, calming method of influencing and changing your dog's unwanted
behaviors. The gentle TTouch method can improve their life and yours! In this introductory session you will learn two basic touches that can help your dog relax and settle, how to use your leash in a unique way to help with leash pulling, and techniques for dogs that are shy, fearful, afraid of thunderstorms, get carsick, plus more!

Adult Classes and Activities
Men's Evening Basketball
This is a great exercise opportunity for the basketball enthusiast who needs an exercise outlet after a day at work. This activity is for men and gives them a chance to play pick up games and enjoy the game that was more intense a few years back.
Co-Ed Recreational Soccer
Do you love to play soccer in the summer? Would you like to keep playing when it gets cold outside? This is not a league and no one will be turned away. Please leave children at home as no child supervision will be provided. There are no walk-ins, all participants need to be registered through Community Education before playing.
Tae Kwon Do (Age 14+)
Tae Kwon Do is a form of self-defense. It is not only for kids, adults can also benefit from martial arts. Students will learn the techniques of Tae Kwon Do while gaining self-confidence and staying in shape. Students will learn forms (kata), self-defense techniques, board breaking and sparring.
DSLR Cameras For Beginners
Learn how to take your photography from good to great by shooting in manual, using proper lighting, capturing a real smile, and developing a creative flare. Sign up soon and be ready for a fun and engaging time of learning and growing as a photographer. This class is geared toward people who love photography and have a DSLR camera.
Beginning Adult Sign Language
This class will cover the ABC's, basic signs, conversational signs and Deaf Culture. This is an opportunity you do not want to miss!
Essential Oils Make & Take
Chemical free is the way to go. Eliminating toxins from your home makes a healthier home. Learn how to make four different natural home care products using essential oils. Participants will go home with some great products, great information, and recipes!
Trips
Grand Slam
GRAND SLAM features over 30,000 square feet of FUN activities! You will get to enjoy unlimited use of the X-treme Trampoline room, Lazer Tag, Mini Golf, Krazy Kars, and Batting Cages and also receive 4 Arcade tokens and a FREE hotdog and soda! Parents must sign a waiver for your child to participate in this trip (available at Community Education office.)

Christmas My Way - A Sinatra Holiday Bash
Four singers will serve up cool versions of Sinatra mainstays like “Fly Me To The Moon,” “Love and Marriage,” and “I Get A Kick Out of You” in this show. Plus, groovy versions of Sinatra Christmas hits like “Winter Wonderland,” “Silver Bells” and “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.” Christmas My Way invites you to grab your bird, jingle your bells and have yourself a merry little Christmas NOW, baby!
