Personal Best Week May 18-22

Personal Best Week is right around the corner. We look foward to partnering with the POSP in celebrating and appreciating the differences in all of us. As a reminder of an email that was sent out, if you have essay entries please send them to the main office. There is still time to get the word out on the essay. This year's themes are

  • My hero: any staff/family member, peer, or other "real life" individual that the child feels has had a positive impact on them;
  • acceptance of differences
  • What makes me special, a good friend, brother/sister, artist, athlete, etc.

We would like essays by May 1st, but will take them into the early part of the following week. In addition, if anyone has something they are highlighting and would like to present at the PBW BOE meeting, please come see me.

Co-Teaching and Next Year's Schedule

To date, we have had several discussions regarding next year's schedule. As we have been discussing, our co-teaching model has been very successful and is supported greatly by a majority of the co-teaching pairs, leadership, and central office. In order to keep the co-teaching model, the schedule would be very similar to what we have now. We can align the students with one team, however, some teachers will teach students on both teams. This includes co-teaching pairs as well as individual general education teachers. We will continue to dialogue and we seek any suggestions you may have. If you have any ideas, suggestions, comments, please use this Google Doc http://bit.ly/1xPaQ04. To access this Google Doc you must be in the marsd.org browser.

Reminders:

  • Please dont' hesitate to email great happenings from your classroom to include in the principal's report
  • If you are close to completing your SGO don't forget to upload to Teachscape and submit to whomever collected your SGO in the fall.
  • In addition, review your PGP and start filling out your evidence for meeting those goals as well.
  • PARCC EOY rosters and rooms will be the same as the PBA
