The Smith Family News Update 3/15/16
Thank you!
Also, a HUGE thank you to our FABULOUS PTA that made our Daddy Daughter Dance a night to remember. Dads - your dancing skills were impressive! The smiles from your daughters (and you) made the night extra special. We had such a great turn out and participation from our families. Thank you to the many moms and PTA volunteers that made it a success! We are looking forward to our mother/son activity coming soon!
We want your feedback . . .
Parents,
In Wylie ISD, we continuously strive to provide the best educational system for our students. Each year, we take the time to get feedback from all of our stakeholders—students, staff, and parents. We use the information collected to help make important decisions on each campus, as well as in the district.
We want your feedback! Please take the time to fill out our survey: http://www.wylieisd.net/Page/8948 (English), http://www.wylieisd.net/Page/8946 (Spanish).
Thank you for helping us grow!Wylie ISD Gifted & Talented Spring Screening

- May 30 – June 3 parents will receive results.
*Students who were already tested this year must wait a full year before being retested.
Kindergarten Roundup - Welcome new Bulldogs!
Wylie ISD Kindergarten Roundup will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. Families in the new George W. Bush Elementary School zone will register at Rita Smith Elementary School. In addition to proof of residency, parents must present the child’s birth certificate, shot record, social security card, and drivers license of parent or legal guardian.
Here is how to obtain your child’s birth certificate: Go directly to Texas.gov and order a certified birth certificate for $22, the same price as a walk-in or mail order. This online service, offered in English and Spanish, provides a straightforward, secure option for ordering your child’s birth certificate. The orders are fulfilled by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
