Multimedia Moment: Exploring Actuality Films in the Classroom
In this post by Tom Bober, the Library of Congress 2015-16 Audio-Visual Teacher in Residence, we learn multiple ways to incorporate video and other audio-visual materials into the classroom in meaningful ways that do not take hours of valuable instructional time.
Bober also shares the Primary Source Analysis Tool which students can use to document their observations, reflections, and questions. There's even a teacher's guide!
Using Inquiry Charts to "Read" Media
Find the I-Chart instructions here:

*Note* As the teacher, you will need to create the Topic and Questions 1-4.
When creating questions, consider using the Region 10 ELA STAAR Stems Collection: https://olc.region10.org/pd/mod/folder/view.php?id=6580
This collection is sorted by STAAR courses, administration dates, and TEKS!
