Counseling Corner - Wellness Wednesday
There are 8 dimensions of wellness.
1.Emotional
2. Spiritual
3. Intellectual
4. Physical
5. Environmental
6. Financial
7. Occupational
8. Social
Today we will focus on emotional wellness. Emotional wellness is the ability to cope effectively with life and build satisfying relationships with others. It helps us feel confident and in control of our behaviors and feelings.
Our emotional wellness can be improved by doing activities that involve our senses: smell, taste, touch, sight, and sound. Listen to music, eat your favorite food, play with your pet, watch your favorite movie or the sunset, visit your friends and extended family virtually through facetime or zoom.

Reference Information
We are hoping to gather notes of thanks and gratitude for all the people in our community going above and beyond to help keep us all safe. We plan to share the pictures that are submitted to those members of the public who are working so hard during this challenging time. This includes medical personnel, emergency responders, school personnel, and anyone else that you can think of that is working to ensure our community stays healthy and productive. Post your photos and notes for all those that you are grateful to during these times at the link below. If you do not want your child's face to be in a photo, then you can simply take a photo of the note or drawing that they made to show their appreciation.
The Place of Forsyth County
Over the past two weeks, The Place of Forsyth has been working to support families during this difficult time in our community. This includes helping to distribute more than 1000 bags of food so that our kids and families have the essential items that they need. The Place continues to receive first time requests for assistance from families, including several who are in need of support due to the financial impact they are facing because of COVID-19. We expect the number of families in need of assistance to rise over the next couple of weeks. In order to support these families, The Place is working to distribute more food for families in the coming weeks, as well as creating meal kits that can be distributed biweekly.
Creating meal kits for families and giving financial assistance requires additional resources. We are confident this community will help us meet the needs of the most vulnerable during this time.
